Silence! The Musical will end its current run on July 7, after two years off-Broadway. At the time of closing, Silence! will have played eight previews and 529 performances. After the show closes, the producers plan to mount regional and worldwide productions, though none are confirmed at this time. The musical spoof of Silence of the Lambs is currently running at Times Square’s Elektra Theatre.
Silence! currently stars Sean McDermott, Laura Jordan, Kevin Spirtas, David Ayers, Howard Kaye, Tyler Maynard, Sarah O’Gleby, Ronica V. Reddick, Kimberly Stern, Kevin Zak and Natalie Joy Johnson.
In Silence! The Musical, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, in order to catch the mysterious serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill.
